Hi everyone!
I am picking up my pre-owned 2014 IS350 F Sport from the dealer as soon as the check from my bank arrives. I am trading in a 2014 Fiesta ST. The car was a blast to drive, but I am getting older and wanted something a bit more refined. Also the lady happened to hate the rocking caused by the manual transmission, so hopefully this automatic makes her happy but is still fun to drive for me. I also have a 2003 GX470 that I have been driving daily, and is amazing for camping trips. That thing can get to places that most cars simply cannot. I also think it happens to look pretty badass and less like a mall-cruiser, but opinions vary. I look forward to reading through the forums, and cannot wait to pick up the car.
Cheers,
Marc

Congrats. That's a pretty humongous change in cars. I think you'll find that you will miss the ST.

Welcome! Congrats on your purchase. The IS is a great car!

Love the GX. I've toyed with the idea of picking one up more than once. I had a 2007 4Runner with the 4.7L V8 and loved it.

I do love that ST! It's a go kart. However, I don't want to miss it THAT much. I wanted a car with some exclusivity and refinement, hence the move. But as far as moving from the GX to the IS, definitely a big change, but this isn't my first luxury sport sedan. I had an Oldsmobile LSS long ago. Completely different, but funny. Not many of those around now.

Thanks for the kind words! I wanted a 4Runner but for whatever reason, the GX was much less costly than a similar mileage 4R. Those things hold there value amazingly well. I think the GX is just unknown in that outdoorsy world. Definitely a great truck.

I drive a Cadillac CTS wagon, and I drive my wife crazy with my car choices when she asks me what I'm getting next. I'm always looking at the Fiesta ST, but like you, I think I want something a bit more refined now (I went from a Honda S2000 to the Caddy).

The IS 350 F-Sport seems like a great car.

Well I still have the title for that Fiesta, so feel free to come out to the dealer and you can hoon all you want in it before I pick up the IS.

Welcome and congrats!

The Fiesta ST is a fun car to drive, but the IS350 will be a lot smoother of a ride and its actually pretty quick off the line. You'll miss having a stick though, sometimes I throw my car into neutral thinking its stick.

If the IS350 feels a little too slow or boring for you, we can always work something out for you in terms of exhausts or performance mods.

I definitely will take you up on that. I added an intake to that Fiesta because I could not hear the turbo at all. I want driving the IS to be more visceral and I was disappointed with the exhaust note on my test drive. I suppose that is to be expected, as it is a Lexus, but I would love a nice subtle growl.
I haven't even bothered looking yet, but am hoping some manufacturer out there has some performance goodies, possibly cams, or anything more than the typical exhaust and intake options. Either way, I am happy to be in the car.

Awesome color that you picked up. I wanted that color in the beginning but decided on atomic silver

Thanks! If you knew how much gray I have in my home, you'd understand. I am simply a sucker for that shade. I must be boring. I did see the car in silver before, super sharp.

title is ready. I am leaving work early to head an hour to the dealer and drive the car home. I am very excited.

**edit**
scratch that. the sec of state did not allow them to get some "quick title" until the actual title arrives, possible next week. I guess i dont understand why a dealer lists cars for sale that they cannot sell. I have the money and frankly, am tired of waiting and need a car.
