Infiniti q50 sport Test Drive
Went ahead and stopped in the local Infiniti dealer to test drive a 2016 q50. So far I have test driven a 2017 a4, 2016 340xi and a gs350 f sport. My current cars is the 2015 is250 base and 2016 is350 f sport.
Q50 by far is the worst car out of the group. Handling on the highway was very shaky. Interior build also felt very cheap. The weirdest part was this horrible noise from the rear of the car. I was disappointed because I liked the style alot. The older g35 and g37 in my opinion was a lot better. Only thing I enjoyed was the throttle response. Keep in mind I did not test drive the red sport 400 but I'm sure besides straight away speed that would also have the same issues. Back to the interior the only positives were the seats and the look of the leather on the side doors were quite pleasant.

Try and find a bad review of the A4, you won't. Mine is ordered and arrives from Germany in mid November when my IS350 lease ends.
Here a review from someone like you that wasn't an Audi A4 fan. Driving the car changed his mind.

A4 interior is ridiculously advanced drive is quite nice. 340xi was the best of both worlds. Just very in tuned with the driver.

The bmw interior is just plain cheap. Loaded 3 and 4 series are high 40k to low 50k. Cheap plastic everywhere that makes rattles. Cheap dashboard. Cheap sun visors. Overall just like what would would except from a low 20k honda accord quality. Though the performance is probably best in its class. The bimmet exterior is pure sex.

We have a F30 and a Q50 also. The F30 is honestly a great all around car. The Q50 is a very confused car, not quite sure how to define it.. Has power, looks, but everything else is just there.. Hard to describe.

Lol, the 2017 A4 is best in class right now. Best in class meaning an out the door price on the mid to high 40's which the Is350 sits squarely in also. Spend in the low 50's and the BMW 340 wins. Spend in the high 50's to low 60's and the Mercedes C450 AMG wins or maybe the S4 if you get it tuned to 400hp..

Aside from the fraud that will have you cursing the day you bought the car, the A4 doesnt hold a candle to the AMG C43 if you want German. The Audi is quite boring actually and your price point argument is wrong, for instance my new IS350 Fsport was $39k and I passed on a 450 AMG at $51k.
And that reviewer? Wowed by things my smartphone does better and 252 hp, lol. Sorry ive had them all...IS, 330i, 2 chipped 335i, chipped S4, and G37 and am not so easily fooled by gimmicks and false promises. Come on out to the track with your A4 and lets see what is can do against my IS350, or a 340, or a Q50, or virtually any other car in this class.

The A4 has 252 hp but it also has 273 lb of torque, same as the 6 cyl IS350. It's faster than the IS in stock form and APR just released a stage 1 tune that bumps the HP and TQ to 310/375. That puts the 0-60 in the high 4's. Leather is standard, Rain sensing wipers are standard, Back up camera is standard. Every **** and piece of plastic in the car is quality. My car is coming with 19" wheels from the factory (suspension is lowered 23mm when you order the 19" wheel package). I get all this with upgraded fully adjustable leather sport seals plus a dual clutch transmission and all wheel drive for the same price as a rear wheel drive IS350. I might not beat a 340 or a Q50 but I'm sure you and your IS350 would be at the back of the pack. The IS is nice it just doesn't have the power the others have.
About your smartphone.being as nice as the Audi nav system. Google Audi virtual cockpit to see how wrong you are.

The A4 AWD would definitely beat it to 60 but gets around the same trap and speed to the 1/4. At highway speeds or rolls, I think the is350 would pull. Also, it was not characterized as the best in class handling. They all said the 340 is better and the is350 is better than the 340 dynamically (I've driven them both numerous times). The two cars are in the same class but offer different strengths.
I priced out an A4 and it came out more expensive than an Is350 with the same options. MSRP for Is350 tops out around $52k and the Audi was mid/high $50s. They really raises prices on their options. The Audi does have the 2nd nicest interior though and is more of a luxury car vs an IS for sure. I'd get the S4 with the 354hp engine though

I agree with you about the q50. It's really confusing because the looks are great and well powered. Otherwise confused as you said.

In my opinion new s4 coming out and 340 are perfect cars for the segment if you want to lease them. I really wish Lexus would step up there game engine wise. 4 cylinder engines should not be beating an is350 off the line.
