RC axle back on 3IS
#61
First and foremost, thanks for trying it out and posting pictures for us to see and compare
I think it looks off because of the tip length and angle being specifically for the RC, maybe due to the diffuser tip exhaust area being different in size.
But at least now we can all see that they are interchangeable like we thought with the same hanger locations

Apexi told me that rc axle back doesn't fit perfectly and that their Japan engineer is slightly modifying the rc exhaust to for our cars better. The rc axle back will work, but the fit might be a little off where the tips exit the diffuser.

that is good to know. Since I 1st saw the new IS, I think when Lexus redesign the diffuser, they will try to reuse the RC axle to lower the cost. So, it's should be interchangeable.

Any update on this?
I’m almost positive at this point that the rc exhaust fits... however, i am worried about the diffuser looking stupid with the angled exhaust. Anybody have any updates? I was looking at the invidia 300 rc exhaust but don’t know if any rear diffusers that will work well with this.

Yes, I just meant the RC "fitment". The exhaust I ordered was the Invidia q300 RC fitment. Would you mind sending some pics of yours? Like I said I am interrested to see how the angled pipes work with the rear end of the car. I have a 2017 so I would need to modify the OEM diffuser. I was trying to find an aftermarket diffuser that would work well with the angled exhaust. But the only one I could find was Toms
