Hey E46CT, do you think it will blend in if I paint the entire wheel?

I think painting the wheel would be the best choice if money is not a concern. Do you mean will it match the other wheels?

Thank you! Glad to offer info on a simple and cheap fix anyone can do at home. I used to brag about how I never curb my wheels with past cars but I dunno what it is about this car that I tend to curb the wheels a lot. LOL. I was shocked the first time I did it with this car. I was like HOW did that just happen. I think it's the high belt line makes it hard to see stuff.

Same here. I got my car used, so the curb rashes were already there, but I did hit the curb once - ONCE - and now I'm always too far from the curb in fear of doing it again. This is my first Lexus, and while I have a 2IS (I think the general shape is the same), I'm positive it's due to the wide bottom of the car. Every other car I've had has been relatively straight down in terms of how wide the wheels stick out compared to the sides of the car. It's a learning curve. Thanks again for this. Hope this paint matches my OEM non-F wheels, too!

I tried to repair my F-sport rim but I think the paint doesn't match the rim. The color is a lot lighter not sure if they changed the mix after you bought it.
Paint pen is quite disastrous, I couldn't tell which way the pen open and I ended up spilling the paint.

Did you wait for the paint to fully dry and cure? it's lighter at first but eventually blends perfectly.

also make sure you shake it.

you certainly can't ham fist this paint pen..be gentle with it as it can spill. it's a bit awkward but basically the paint is on the top and the clear coat is on the bottom.

Still kind of light silver look after overnight curing, I might try to paint another layer.
Bought another paint bottle color is much better.

Glazing putty is the filler to fill in the gouges where the wheel material was removed. (aka "bondo") For the best results you'll need to smear the stuff in the cleaned area and sand it down to the level of the wheel BEFORE painting it.
