If you had to replace your 3IS today, what would you replace it with?

I just replaced my e46 M3 with this IS250. I miss the power and torque (Dinan software, pipes, exhaust, 6 spd) so I'd likely just picked up another one if I had to. Or an 350 F Sport used

Although I just got my 3IS (love the car so far), I would probably replace it with an Alfa Romeo Giulia or a Tesla Model 3 (if the wait times ever gets shorter).

I have an IS 300. I would consider upgrading to the IS 350 before going to one of the other brands. I test drove the 328i and drove a friend's C450, and I must say the IS just feels like a more solid car (if slower than the C450, but... that car also costs at least $10k more). The IS 300 is decently quick but would be nice with more power. I would probably stick with the Atomic Silver - love that color for whatever reason!

Good call. The Giulia is 'expected' to arrive soon and a definite contender in this group, by contender to the IS I'm referring to the Giulia 2.0 turbo 0-60 in ~5secs and not the Quadrifoglio. I drove a 4c Alfa once, the 147 turbo, and the induction sound was magical. I'd say it sounds better than any other 4c turbo out there. If anyone is gonna go with shabby European reliability, might as well go all the way to the bottom of the reliability table and consider this beauty.

If I wanted a 335 or 435, I could have gotten it instead of the IS350 but sadly the IS was more engaging to drive. Honestly, in my near two years of ownership, I can't complain about the car. It doesn't have a single rattle yet and I beat the crap out of the car everyday. I went through tires and brakes at 15k for a reason
I think the car is so nimble and responsive that I'll keep it for another couple years. The 3 series outside of the M feels so diluted now. I'm hoping the next IS keeps the handling and goes turbo. If not, I'll be switching sides to the Germans and go Porsche.

90% sure another IS, been climbing the HP ladder starting with a 2012 AWD 250, then a 2014 AWD 250 and now a 2016 300 F-Sport. Looks like a 2018 IS 350 will be next. Overall, satisfied with all of them with the exception of the life span of the tires and PLEASE Lexus, offer a standard key fob remote start already!
