I was curious as to what you guys would get if you had to get another car all over again? I only include the main competitors given the sporting RWD balance and nature of the IS.
Another IS
BMW 3/4-Series (x30i/x40i)
Mercedes C300/C400
Infiniti Q50/Q60

Fun poll, I'll be interested to see how people respond.
I replaced my 3IS with a 4GS.

Forgot about Audi. Haha... no way of editing the poll it seems.

Curious to see how this develops.
I would get another 3IS, but I would get the 350 rather than the 200t; the 350 is (subjectively) the better buy. Because I'm young and my professional career is just beginning, I need a car which will last me 10 years without being a pain to maintain which automatically removes the German options. The Q50 and Q60 (300hp and 400hp variants) have the engine, but don't have the handling or interior to make me seriously consider them.

I definitely got the IS for its handling. Best in the class for sure. I just wish the engine choices were a bit more potent like its german rivals. Lexus needs to up its engine game a bit more. No more 15-20 year old engines OK Lexus? (You betcha Lexus USA marketing is looking at this thread) Haha! The 2.0 T is a step in the right direction. A bit too little too late though.

I still really love my 2014 IS350, although I wish they'd fix the battery drain issue with my car. I voted to get another IS but this time I'd like to get a 2016 IS350 instead because there have been some minor features included now that I wish my 2014 has and no battery drain issue.

I would definitely go for the new 340i with an M-Sport package. The reason I didn't go for one this time around however, is the fact that it is a lot more expensive and I feel that the styling of the 3is is still superior. I love BMWs, but can always drive my sister's 750 M-Sport when I have the itch (it's also on swapalease.com for $1,091 a month if you know anyone interested

I honestly don't have an answer to this question. I currently have a '14 350 F Sport, and am not a fan of the '17 exterior changes. I am a fan of the interior changes, but couldn't justify another IS based on that. So, I'll be driving my '14 for a few more years (that was the plan anyway), and hopefully, by then there will be something I'll love as much as my current car.

Interesting results so far. Nobody seems to publicly want a 3/4 Series but the poll results show otherwise. It's like a dirty fantasy they have lol.

Also had an older E30 3-Series with 247,000 miles. Rock solid reliable. No breakdowns.
Another M3, 207,000 miles. Rock solid. No breakdowns.

I think the car is so nimble and responsive that I'll keep it for another couple years. The 3 series outside of the M feels so diluted now. I'm hoping the next IS keeps the handling and goes turbo. If not, I'll be switching sides to the Germans and go Porsche.

I'm also hoping to stay with the IS or RC if they make a competitive engine with today's market later on. Otherwise, I'll also be headed to MB or Porsche if I've progressed far enough in my career.
