Car currently has less than 28k miles so it's not like service is due either. Restart car and it drove normal but it still has been hesitating to accelerate. I will take it in this month for the 30k Mile service and report to the service people. I made sure i took a video with the check engine on.

Would not recommend this motor to anyone, just get an IS350. Luckily my lease ends next summer and with Lexus pull ahead program I should be out of this car in May.
Are you 200T folks remembering to replace the spark plugs. If i'm not mistaken Lexus says they should be replaced at 30k. If you are tuned, half that.

I'm at 27k so far, original everything, no ill effects. I'll be letting the next owner (or dealer) replace the plugs though =D

The valve is located on the intake manifold. See the diagram below with part number 25819.

My car was loosing power and shutting off at around 27k. I bury my foot and it would go into limp mode and loose complete power, consequently had to shut down and restart. Lexus had to replace spark plugs and fuel injectors. This motor sucks, would not recommend. Stock motor, no mods but driven like I would my old BMW (not like your typical toyota driver).

Did toyota forgot how to build a good turbo motor?

The first time I had it replaced was around 10,000 miles. Now at 15,000 miles, the new part is making the same noise again. I just brought the car to the dealer last week and I am currently waiting for the replacement
other then the noise, how do you know you have the issue?

Could you tell us how you got to the valve? Its buried deep inside. Did you have to remove the intercooler overflow tank and hoses?

I might have to keep replacing it myself after the warranty expires.

Can anyone with experience with this failed part help me identify if the noise in this video sounds like it?

I hear an audible “chatter” noise but I’m not really picking up a fan noise.

Engine Noise Video

Thanks!!
