The TTV6 will likely find it's way into the IS, RC, GS, and LC. The question is would they retain the same displacement and/or tune differently? Also would they put this powertrain into a current generation or wait. As we saw in 2006/2007 the GS300/430 >>> GS350/460.
As to the IS F comment. I made note in 2014 that the 3IS engine bay was never intended to house a V8 (like the 4th Gen GS engine bay was). A TTV6 was likely and hence put the IS F on hiatus. Lexus could easily massage a few more ponies out this 416hp/442lbft mill. As it stands its the same hp rating as the original IS F right now. In current form this 3.5L TTV6 would be pretty competitive against the Q60 Red Sport, M3, and ATS-V.

If lexus comes out with ISF then im switching, that has always been like my dream car, and of course make it price competitive, this time around i was between q50 red sport and is 350, the q50 red sport was about $339 monthly lease not bad for 400HP

Holly crap thats a pretty good deal. for a 50k plus car.i need to drive one. I dont see any reason why lexus wouldnt make a is F now. just need to wait 3 more years i feel like.

My opinion...you will see a hybrid 2.0L turbo in the IS before you will see a 3.0L V6 TT. Why you ask? Lexus is way behind in the CAFE numbers.
If you add a 2.0L turbo with hybrid, you get instant torque, excellent MPG and a smooth power band.

+1 for the ISF...they should release it now, no need to wait for the 4IS, they have the engine from the LS500, lets make it happen. This is the car I want, anything else is a compromise (GSF/RCF). My lease ends in 2019, let's see what they decide to do...

Not trying to hijack the thread, but before they think of putting in a TTV6 they better do something about that sluggish transmission. That's the ancient piece. The 350F supposedly comes with a fast shifting gearbox, but since I bought it back to back to 2 German cars, ithe engine/transmission feels anything but seamless, always suffering to find the right gear, and on certain times totally under-geared, where the German, I'm talking BMW here, was always in the right gear at the right time.

I think if they do the ISF they will just use the same engine as RCF and GSF they have the engine on their shelf, engineering and designing a new engine for just the ISF will cost a lot of money, Would be nice to have the ISF back and cheaper than the RCF. I would definitely buy it if it was cheaper.
Also, I don't see the TTV6 happening without the addition of the 10-speed and there's just no way they will introduce two big upgrades like that unless it's a new generation. Lexus will get crucified by the automotive press and customers alike if they carry over the 8-speed to any new generations from here on out. So don't expect a revised "10-speed IS350T" until the 4th generation in 2022-2023.... or maybe if we are lucky a 2nd generation ISF before then.
Wishful thinking and pure speculation says we could see this new engine in the 5th Generation Supra in 2019 and the 2nd Generation ISF in 2020. Even though they are different platforms and different markets, they both are compact performance vehicles, so I honestly don't think Toyota is wanting to steal focus away from the Supra by introducing a new ISF in the same model year. There could be some cannibalization of sales as a result. So that makes the ISF a 2020 car if it happens at all.

Hope that Turbo V6 will come for IS350 Fsport because there is RC-F GS-F LC500, what is the point releasing IS-F ? RC-F or LC500 will be my next when my Son finish his School, the reason I didn't buy ISF because I feel weird that a Powerful car with 4 DOORS. Probably get an RC-F for sure LC500 is little too much.

What is this nonsense, have you ever hear about the Mercedes 190E sedan, BMW M5 etc there is your reason for a high performance 4 door. The ISF is an icon, a legend in fact, first F car from Lexus. It paved the way for the heavy RCF and the new GSF. Lexus needs to bring back this car with the new V6TT motor, that's the car i will own, if not, i may continue leasing or switch back to the Germans.

Sorry, but I find it amusing that two people who don't even own the most powerful 3IS available today are threatening to go back to German cars if Lexus doesn't offer more power.

The IS350 while it has more power than the IS200t is not that powerful either, I leased for a reason, a stop gap for the car I want to buy and own. Also, I wanted to try the Turbo, there are already tunes for it and many of us bought it for the supposedly tuning potential.
My IS200T was 2000 USD less than a base IS350 so money was not the factor. I could have easily afforded a 350 if I wanted to. Initially, the plan was to lease the IS and get a new GSF later but I have come to realize that the GSF is too big of a car for me. The IS is the right fit for me since I rarely have passengers other than my SO and thus have no real need for a large sedan.
Oh and lol at "threaten", do you even know what the word means...going back to BMW with my money is now considered a hostile action...haha

the 350 now is legit .5 seconds faster than the 300, i don’t feel i’m missing out on much. i just think it’s annoying for all owners IS200t, 300, and 350 owners feeling obligated to tune their cars to get more power just to keep up with their german competitors. you tune a german car to make the grin on your face bigger than it is without the tune. our only bragging rights of having a lexus over BMW audi or mercs is that we don’t pay expenses for our cars breaking down, otherwise all of the german competitors are ahead of the IS, even though lexus is continuing to improve
