#257

Grandpa
Looks like I'm on the higher end of the age spectrum of the majority here. 60 y/o on my fourth Lexus since 2011, last two were IS 250's white then red. Currently in a IS 300 F-Sport Ultrasonic Blue and recently added a 2017 NX 200t F-Sport to the corral (also USB). Have always been a Toyota owner since my first new car purchase at age 17 (Corolla SR-5 Coupe ... LOL) followed by three Celica's, a Supra, an MR-2, two 4-Runner's and a V6 Camry SE. I might be older but still love my cars.

I always wanted an IS when it first came out. My first car however was a Scion tC (not complaining) which was a high school graduation gift from my parents in 2004. Around 2008 I traded it in for the FJ cruiser because I wanted something different but couldn't afford an IS yet and was still saving for it. I switched to the Prius a year after since gas was too much. In 2012 I traded my Prius for my brother's 2012 TSX since he was doing a very long commutes to Irvine from LA. I know I came up as it was an uneven trade but my brother is not really a car guy.
In 2015, I was 28, I finally felt like it was time for an IS so I bought the 2015 IS350 F-Sport but due to some complication the dealer ended up replacing it with a 2016 model. Took me a while to save up for the car but I feel like it was worth the wait and it felt great to pay for the car in Cash. I love cars but I hate driving in general however I don't mind as much when I am in the IS (sounds silly I know). Financially it was a terrible investment because I don't really drive it since I take public transportation now (average 3k miles per year) but I have zero regrets and it makes me smile whenever I walk past it when I come home.
