IS - 3rd Gen (2014-present) Discussion about the 2014+ model IS models

Any real reason to choose a 2015 IS350 instead of 2014 IS350?

For F-Sport, yes.

And the center console in the 2014 is a glossy black, which can get really scratched up easily. The 2015 has a matte finish, easier to keep clean and scratch free.

Also, +1 on all other comments. Go with 2015.. unless the deal your're getting on a 2014 is GREAAAT.
The prices around here for the 2014 is decently lower than a 2015, but I think I'm going to aim for the 2015 for the seat and finish differences mainly.

Nice! Nobody will know the difference

That's basically the main reason I'm aiming for the 2015, sweaty legs on leather can be pretty lame.

Ventilated seats, center console and dynamic reverse lines seem to be the biggest differences.
The first two would probably be the biggest selling points for me. I've driven this long without those lines, what could I be missing?

There really is no deal breaker between 14 and 15. I would get 15 just because it is newer. But if there is a huge price difference, I would stick with 14.

Try to look for a vehicle manufactured later in the year, I bought my 14 towards the later in the year and I have Zero problems.

Default Heated Steering Wheel

And for those of us in the colder climates, the '15 has a heated steering wheel. This, along with the ventilated seats, wasn't offered on the '14.

And some have said the heated seats on the '15 are more effective. On the '14, they are barely warm enough to feel through denim, and it takes fifteen minutes just to get any noticeable warmth.

I have ventilated seats on my 2014.
Or is "F sport" just "assumed" around here?

The heated seats on my 2014 are plenty warm, and can be felt almost immediately.
Again, not an "F sport".

It is not assumed, but, it seems that a large portion of folks have the F-Sport that post here.
I did specify for F-Sport in post #16.

I have 14 IS350, never have the issue with the battery. NAV used to flickering here and there but problem solved once firmware updated. I will give a plus for ventilated seats on 15+ model year. Other than that, it's the same.
