Wow this is promising. Thanks guys. I've always thought about it, but how was claims process? (question for both Lexus dealership and Independents/banks.) Did they ask about maintenance history/receipts/mods? I saw this clause from the one at the bank. I just bought my IS, but i declined the extended warranty knowing that I like to work on the car myself from time to time (simple stuff, like oil changes, brakes, etc). I am also planning to convert the bumper to F-sport via an independent body shop.

Thanks in advance.

It's much better than what my dealership wants for a new ES350.
Is it from Lexus or 3rd party? If it's from Lexus, could you tell me the contact information?
Thank you.

My factory warranty will end by Feb 2018. Would love to hear more options or where the best/cheapest place to buy is. Does the Lexus extended warranty have the exact same coverage as the factory warranty?

Should be the same coverage, but what really breaks on a Lexus? When I had my 2IS, it was such a waste to have extra coverage, as the parts were cheap, and the labor even more so (compared to the Benzes, BMWs, Porsches, and a GT-R).

I thought Lexus is supposed to be one of the most reliable cars out there? If that's the case, a majority of the time an extended warranty doesn't make sense?

I actually came from a Benz and reliability is what made me jump into a Lexus. But recently I just had my climate control panel warrantied. The buttons were sticking. It would have been a $1200 expense if I weren't under factory warranty anymore. It made me realize that a Lexus might not be as bullet proof as I initially thought. So perhaps putting out just a little over $1K for an additional 5 years of warranty and peace of mind might be a good deal after all.

If you are gonna keep the car get the Lexus extended warranty. It’s always paid for itself with all my Lexus models I’ve owned.

If so should we purchase extended warranty after a cpo lexus certified ends or about to end or when the original factory warranty ends? Cause i still have about 8 months left on my factory warranty and have the lexus certified warranty after that.

I'm coming up to the end of my factory warranty in December and while the car has been solid, there's been a few things that have come up throughout our ownership. I plan to speak to the local dealers here in Los Angeles and our original dealer in San Jose and see what prices I come back with.

My current Lexus IS is a Certified Pre own. So I already have the extended warranty. I don’t have the paperwork in front on me. But I want to say it’s 6 years 60k miles.

Yea i understand that part. It is actually 6 years unlimited miles for the extended cpo.
I wanted to know if i could add Extended warranty on top of that. If so do i have to add the warranty when the original factory one ends or wait till the cpo ends
