Default Leaking coolant cap?

Hello Club Lexus and Happy Friday!
I'm not sure if this was asked before, but from time to time I like to clean the engine bay cover from dust, etc, and I have noticed pink crusty residue around the coolant cap. Is the cap defective, or is this normal? Should I bring it Lexus. Each time I get an oil change, the techs never mention anything, not sure if this is normal, or possible defect. I have an 2014 IS350, and want to address this before the warranty expires this year for me. I have attached a photo outlining the specific area of concern.
Thanks for all your help everyone

Is the coolant reservoir filled above the full line?

My 250 does the same thing...my brothers 1996 Camry does the same thing. It's pretty much normal...it's almost like the coolant is weeping out around the cap, likely when it's hot.
Honestly I would just clean it off and keep on trucking. I've never noticed any coolant missing from the level in the reservoir...I think the pink crusties take a long time to form.
You could ask the dealer if they could change the cap...it may or may not stop it...honestly I don't think it will.

Thanks for your note. Next time I'm over at Lexus, I will bring it to their attention. Who knows, could be a design flaw. its not a big deal, but its good to know I'm not the only one.

not a big deal probably.. but it shouldn't be leaking like that. maybe the cap is not tight or some other thing going on. bring it to their attention it wont hurt. i've never had a single drop of coolant escape my 160,000 mile BMW 3-Series and that has a sealed pressurized cooling system.
