Yikes! Someone backed into you, or the opposite?

 

I was dropping off my nephew for school and as I was leaving the parking lane on a two lane street. This lady switch into the closest lane to me while part of car was out and the back wheel pretty much destroyed my front bumper. Did a police report and their saying I'm the striking vehicle because her front part of the car is fine with no damage and there no way I could prove she turned into my lane. Plus the lady didn't speak any English. The only damage on her car is 2 little paint lines and her rims scratched.

 

 

Thats tough to look at. This is why I got a dash cam

 

Anyone know if the 2017 front bumper will fit for the 14-16 gen?

 

That's bad. But it does sound like you hit her.
When pulling out from a parking space, it is your full responsibility to look for on coming traffic.
Gonna be hard to fight insurance on this one.

 

Sorry Kevin, could've been worse, like damage to the front suspension/axel. If you're looking at changing the bumper to 2017, you'll need to change the headlights as well as a minimum, as the 2014-16 has a jagged edge where the bumper meets the headlights, but 2017 is flat. I'm attaching a pic with side by side comparison. Not sure about the hood/fenders, but there's a recent thread on that topic. I have a 17, so if you need any tips on that, reach out. Good luck.

Weak stomachs? That's an understatement. That front bumper looks like a predator just gave birth to a newborn alien xenomorph. Did you check under your car yet? That face hugger may be around somewhere.

 

I will have to ask the school if I could get a security footage of the incident. My car was partially out and was not moving. I even had lady help me pick up the black intake piece for cooling the breaks and told me I should call the cops cause I got side swiped. I was too shocked to even know how to react, I should of probably ask her to stay and help with the report as a witness. Well best of luck to me, hopefully I can get a footage and see if it was me or her.
