Thumbs up New owner - 2014 IS350 F-Sport

Hi all -

Just introducing myself. First time IS owner. Owned a LS430 back in the day, but nothing Japanese since. Traded in my BMW 550ix for the IS350. The BMW at 67k miles was starting to cause me grief and was at the dealer for the last 1.5 weeks at its latest appointment.

I enjoy modding cars, but not sure how much I want to do w/ the IS so for now I'll just browse the forums and be a lurker.

One thing I will say is that the headlights suck at night. I'm looking to add fog lights in hopes that they brighten the road more so suggestions are welcome.

Thanks.

You will find lots of helpful information on Club Lexus for modding and more. The Advanced Search tool is very useful for finding posts that might be of interest to you. I've seen many threads on installing fog lights on the f-sport. Still can't understand why Lexus saw fit to strike them from the 17 models.

Drive safe and enjoy!
Regarding to Fog Light, the reason Lexus removed Fog light because its kinda outdated on a sport vehicle, its just new style of Lexus without Fog Light on an F sport , for Visibility test at night i think its bright more than enough, Fsport package intended for young buyers, hope they'll do something better in the next Generation, i don't think we will get fog lights in 3rd generation of IS.

Thanks guys. I'm going to look into the OEM Japanese foglight kit. I just need more light on this thing. My 550 didn't have the greatest lighting, but after driving around the new X5 my expectation of LED was higher. Not looking to take this car to crazy limits since it's a daily driver.

I assume the X5 has multiple LED projectors? The JDM kit runs about $900 for everything but I think it's worth it.

They do have cheaper kits for like $150 but the LED and projector quality is lacking.
