Question Approaching 15k...service?

Is there any service that needs to be done at 15k? My brakes are squeaking so will probably get those changed. Not sure if I need to do anything else though.

performace brakes squeak by nature. Highly doubt you went through the pads in 15k unless you track it every weekend

did you physically see your brake pads or did you let the dealer jerk you around and take your lunch money twice

Yeah. Stuck in so cal traffic a lot. These brakes don't last that long compared to my other cars with the same commute. Pretty lousy for longevity.

They were squeaking like crazy and I the progression between checkups made sense. I also drive with a lead foot so not surprised. I have a pair of Akebonos ready for use the next time though.

my stock brembo brakes squeaked from day one. You can hear it from another block. Sounds like metal grinding. That doesn't mean it's worn out. It actually still had half life around 10k when I brought it in for TSB for quieter brakes. I actually track it and did many many 1/4 mile runs and drive it like I stole it daily. Unless you see the pads are worn down, sound can't be the determining factor. Dealers usually recommend brake changes at 40% mark, for profit reason obviously targeting the gullible

It measured 2mm and the last time I checked it was 4mm so it made sense. Unless they completely flat out lie in the measurement I probably had to change it.

Damn I'm driving this morning and I can hear a screeching sound that won't stop? It comes and goes but has been pretty noticeable. The screeching noise goes on during regular driving too. Any help please? My car is at 13k mi
