Hella Horns?
#2
They just replace the stock horns, so it's definitely possible. I've had them on my previous Subarus. Making a custom bracket isn't hard, or they could go in the stock locations. If you want them to use them to their full potential a relay kit is recommended. Just look up an install guide for a subaru, its a general install for all vehicles.

They're direct plug and play replacements. I have them installed. They're OK. They're higher pitched than the stock horn and no louder. I'm going back to stock. I regret changing them
They make a nice upgrade for chintzy econobox horns. But lexus already has a high end deep professional horn.
Keep it.

If you guys want to go with hella horns, I strongly suggest running it's own harness with direct battery power, fuse, and using the factory horn signal as an activation switch... those hellas has a higher power draw than most factory horns, so using the factory signal to run them will either blow a fuse or you just won't get the most out of them.
I used to be a subaru guy and that's what I've learned.

also, which hella did you buy, they have 2 types, "super tone" which is a deeper sound, and "sharp tone" which is a higher pitch sound.

did you run them with it's dedicated power or did you just hook them up to the stock horn signals? if you only used the stock horn signals, that could be why they're no louder than stock..

Stock horn sounds terrible. I want these for function more than the look even tho I think white would look dope behind the f-sport grill.

Hella Horns are NOT much louder then the stock. Watch any you tube video. I got a pair of the super tones, replaced the stock ones in my 3IS (2015 IS250). I measured the stock ones to be about 95dB. They are pretty weak when on the highway and some truck is trying to run you over. The hella supertones, i could not get to measure over 97db. They dont sound that bad, but they are not any louder, don't waste your time.
