Hey guys, I am stumped what this sound could be, looking to see if anyone has an idea here. My is200t has 6200 miles on it, and this random ticking noise started happening since yesterday. It happens when the engine ISNT on. When you push the Start/Stop button twice, vehicle is on and that's when this noise appears. Its like a ticking sound you can hear when you pop open the hood, and also near the undercarriage near the driver and passenger side. Didnt happen this morning, but once I drove around and came back home, I tried to see if it still would do it and it did. Its pretty loud and you don't even need to pop the hood to hear it

And what part of the direct injection would be making that sound when the vehicle isn't even on?

its def something because I've never heard it before. I noticed it immediately the other day when I turned on the car while cleaning the interior and heard that ticking.

Hopefully someone may know on here. I read some threads on here with a ticking sound when the engine is on, but not whens its off.
