Hi, I have an older GS300 which runs great but feels a bit clunky against a much newer IS350 FSport.
Just wondering - did you test drive a 3rd generation IS350 F-Sport VS GS350 F-Sport (or 4th gen) ~ what are your thoughts around Agility, Handling, Performance, and FUN? NOT more so luxury features per se (coz everyone already knows about this![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I think that the engines on both these cars are quite similar so I guess it's pretty obvious that the 300+ lbs weight difference plays a huge role on agility, handling, and performance.
THANKS!!

Both should be similar in terms of driving, with the IS of course having an edge being lighter. The GS will have a nicer interior. The GS body is a bit long in the tooth compared to the IS. Its design is a bit too upright compared to newer cars. The side structure of the GS is, as being older, also a bit weaker (in a crash) The IS style will remain fresher, longer (If you get an F sport especially)

The GS FSPORT is very nice. Interior wise and 18-way adjustable seats the shttt. The pick ups in the IS seems quicker as it is lighter, but the GS has 5 more hp than the IS (311 vs 306, but shouldnt make a difference).
Other than that, I enjoy the exterior styling of the IS more than the GS. Idk why, but the IS just looks good from all angels. =]

If i had to do all over again, i would buy a 17 gs350 f sport over my is350 f sport. They have similar handling and performance characteristics but you get way more luxury and interior space for more everyday usewith a GS. Many people try to compromise between luxury and sport and both gs and is aren't a sport car unless you go with F models. So don't look at it as a performance car, look at it as a luxury car.
