3rd Gen IS 350 Headlight/ Headlamp change
Hey all, This is my first post on here. I did quite a bit of digging and had no luck. I am looking to see if anyone knows of any posts on How to remove the headlight assembly as well as just changing the "bulb" out, Im assuming after looking that i have to take the bumper off. I have a lot of water precipitation built up in my driver side headlight. it has been there for a few months but now the actual light stopped working. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

There is a TSB that covers condensation in the headlight due to a cracked mounting tab.

Thanks Sasnuke, something ill look into. i see that link talks about possible broken mounting tabs letting in moisture. seems pretty common and also has another link to that being a known defect by the dealership. may be able to get this headlamp replaced for free.

You can check the mounting tab to see if it's cracked yourself before spending the time to head to the dealer.
I'm confident you'll find it cracked.

I was able to get both of my headlights replaced and the computers for free. Just call the dealership and mention that you are getting condention in you BOTH of your headlights even if it is only one. They will replace both headlights and headlight computers free of charge.

Thanks guys. found a 2 inch crack in the light housing by the top bracket. took the light out and swapped the computers to see if the bulb was bad since you can't change the bulb on an F sport. the low beam computer is fried. I'm going to call the dealership in the morning and tell them so i can't get the lights changed.

If it's anything like my 2016 CT, then you can drop the sides and top of the bumper and simply pulls down a bit to wiggle the headlights out. Of course if you want to be thorough, you should drop the whole bumper.
I had the front of my 2016 CT F Sport torn apart the moment I drove it home from the dealer. Did a RX350 BI-XENON projector retrofit.
