The tape is pretty strong. if you try to remove it without damaging it is very hard.
Even if you are being very careful with removal there is huge chance of bending and denting the metal trim on it.
OMG this is so true. I removed my visors when I traded in my 2IS and holy crap I felt like the doors were going to come with them lol.
There actually isn't a US part number. This isn't available from Lexus USA dealerships. Typically people with them source overseas but thanks for sharing.
Have you checked at a US dealer recently? It may not have been added as an orderable part, but I believe it is in the system in one form or another with a price in the US system. May or may not be able to actually place that order though.
For those that have the weathertech visors: did it trip out the car thinking the windows are still down since it is in-channel? Windows won't fully roll up like it would normally right?

i've had weathertech in-channel visors on my previous car. the windows will roll up fully. occasionally, when i rolled the windows up, they would bounce back down (window thinks there's something in the way). overall, wasn't much of an issue.
not sure how well the weathertech's will work on the 3IS.

Oh yeah, I remember the windows bouncing back down once in a while on my tC back then. Thanks for your input
