Default I have a really dumb questiong - do I have AWD?

Greetings,

I am brand new to the Lexus world and just bought my 2014 IS250 sport this past Saturday. I am not a car guru.
The dealer didn't have the car listed as a sport, but I obviously have the package (badges, wheels, etc).
My dumb question is; do I have AWD? I have the snow button and another button that I initially thought is just for traction control or something, but now I'm wondering and feel really stupid asking.
I do not have the book.
I keep researching and everything is vague.
Are all IS250 sports awd or is it an option?

Thanks in advance.

Katy

Actually, AWD becoming common here in Texas. I don't know why. You could probably input the VIN number on the http://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/ website. You can also view an electronic version of the owners manual and see what maintenance was done on the vehicle (if it was done at the dealership.)

Short of asking your dealer, and minus the badging on the back, and knowing about the much talked about hump or if your car has the 6 speed transmission, CL has a handy VIN checker that you can check. Simply input your vehicle's VIN number and it will tell you about many of the options, and should reveal if it is AWD or not.
Basically,

Do you have an AWD badge on the trunk?
Is there an odd hump by your right foot in the driver seats?
If in manual mode does your car stop shifting up at 6 or 8?

AWD comes with a badge but could have been removed, the hump under the drivers seat is in AWD models only and the AWD models have a 6-speed trans instead of the 8 in the RWD.

Hope this help better explain.

Hi Kat, I live in Canada where most IS models are AWD, so if you dont have the "AWD" badge on the trunk, yours is likely just rear wheel drive.

Look for the hump on driver floor.

This is AWD (notice the floor mat shape is different as well)

This is RWD with no hump
