Default Nav Screen Scratches

Is there even a way to clean the nav screen without scratching the anti glare coating?? I've had the Anti Glare coating replaced on my IS a while ago. Well I decided to clean it today, because one of my friends touched it the other day thinking it was a touch screen. I used a lens cleaning cloth and guess what!! It's scratched again!!! It's so annoying that this thing gets scratched even with so much care.

I just had mine replaced. I won't be putting any cleaner on it. I would suggest using a soft microfiber towel. Once again with no cleaner.

I didn't, it was just a damp cloth to remove the dirty finger print. I would suggest not using any cloth at all, just clean it with air pressure.

Good looking out. I noticed mine was dusty this morning and I was scared to even touch it with anything.

So the TSB replacement is still the same scratch prone screen?

It's the same thing. They don't replace the screen, they just wipe off the old coating and put a new one on. It will scratch no matter what type of cloth you use.

No that is not what they do. They replace it with a updated part number. . The entire front screen piece is replaced

I don't know if it's just a prone to scratch as the original is but I'm not gonna attempt to try my luck

Are you sure?? Because the issue was never the screen, it was the anti glare coating. It says "Dealers will replace the coating" on the TSB. How are you suppose to clean it, If someone touches it?

once you got it cleaned, order a clear screen protector (just like ones for your smart phone) oof of amazon or something. You will never have to worry about scratching it ever again.
