2014 IS 350 F Sport 2

Battery Drain
Leaking Sunroof
Center Console Latch Loose
Inner Tire Wear
****ty Paint
Dirty Sock Smell From Air Vents
Infotainment Screen Needed Replaced For Coating Issues
Drivers Door Rattles Over bumps

Main complaints about the car is that the infotainment seems to have been designed by a 70 year old lady thats never used a computer. Everything requires you to take eyes off the road. The signal light switch design is insanely bad and has almost got me in accidents.

Now I may have the rust recall issue which makes me want to kill myself.

2014 IS 250 F Sport, European version

I've only had the car for 1 month, but from the service history I found this:
F Sport gauge block replaced on 16k km (mechanical slider was rattling and eventually stopped moving)
Battery drain 2 x times (due to car sitting for over a month, followed by a few very short drives. Eventually the battery was replaced)
Rear wheel arch corrosion check, nothing found.

Now since I've had the car:
The window control panel was rattling under heavy bass, it was sealed by the dealer and is a lot better.
The nav screen has scratches on the anti-glare coating, I will check whether they will replace it under the extended warranty.

Overall these cars are absolutely flawless when compared to other premium cars (BMW, Audi etc).

2016 IS 200T
Nav system is terrible, won't recalculate on some roads until you drive 6 miles or more (have done the latest update)
FM reception is poor at best
The quality of the vehicle is less than the 2010 IS I previously owned.
Turbo Lag!

One of my LCD screens next to the speedometer (F Sport) has a little line in it. It's visible only when I shift the speedometer to the right (which I don't do very often anymore). Other than that, the car's been fine

Is turbo lag an "issue" or just a design flaw of the vehicle?

In addition, I have had zero issues with nav system rerouting OR FM reception... Nav system is generally pretty snappy to reroute for me, and FM radio sounds fine. What kind of geography do you live in?

I live in coastal N Carolina - my previous 2010 had no trouble with these roads and my 2014 Tacoma doesn't have a problem.

Completely trouble free for 35k HARD miles. I have a 350 F Sport RWD. Not a single rattle.

Weird. I wonder if it a problem with your specific vehicle. Sorry

I got about 6k on my 17 is300 . No real problems yet.

Biggest annoyance is rattling from the doors. Speakers sound great but the rattle gets annoying at times. Anyone have an easy solution?

Since it's still new, just take it to the dealer. As long as they can pinpoint the problem, they should fix it for you under warranty.

2016 IS 300 with 22k km.
-nav restarted a few times thru out the 1 year ownership.
-rattle - still trying to pin point where it comes from, seems to come from the front dash, doesnt sound like an obvious hard rattle, but soft and almost sounds like static - anyone know?
-AC off smell, yes like everyone else but all my previous cars were like this. Maybe it is a bit more intense.
-no issue with battery, was even playing dvd movies and re-engaging the power after it auto-shut off. crossing my finger it will last a few years.
-red interior, my left elbow rest turns black. I guess I cant rest my left arm without wearing long sleeves.
-my ML audio. maybe twice in the last year it would not turn on within the first few minutes.

over all, none of the issue here would cause me to not consider Lexus again.

2015 IS 350 F-Sport AWD, 16,500 miles

- The AC smell at the first blow is horrible. My wife hates it. Is there any way that can be eliminated?
- The paint is very thin, it chips easily especially at the front bumper.

I still love this car and would highly recommend it. I'm still collecting paint chips and would eventually have the car paint refreshed.

You can get the AC deodorized - dealer should be able to do this. In addition, I'd recommend letting the car decide on its own how to route the air (i.e., leaving it in AUTO) rather than manually turning recirculation on or off. That seems to have eliminated the smell for me.
