Default IS 200t noise under the hood

My wife has a 2017 IS 200t with about 10k miles on it. She drives 42 miles to work each day. The past couple times she's come home and I've been outside as she rolls into the garage, I have heard this rather loud noise coming from under the hood. Tonight I had her shut off the A/C and that didn't help. After I first heard it a couple days ago I went back out and drove it shortly after we went in the house but the noise was gone. So tonight while the noise was there, like a pretty large vibration seemingly coming from the engine area, I had her then shut the engine off. I then had her immediately restart and the noise was gone. Interesting. Might it be the Turbo??? Normal?? Or maybe something wrong???

Something that starts making noise after a significant drive that then is no longer present if you shut the car off and immediately restart it. Any ideas???

thanks

Sounds like it might be a vacuum regulator. There's been active discussions on the is200t tune thread about this. Some tuned members seem to be experiencing the issue frequently

ya, sounds like the vacuum regulator. Here is the thread about it - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...oise-help.html

I had mine replaced twice on my car (16K miles) Lexus needs to make this part more reliable.
