Factory amp bypass? '15 IS250
I am about to install some speakers and a processor(PXA-H800) into my '15 IS250(non-ML) and was curious if I can bypass the factory amp while retaining control from the factory 'HU'?
The issue is the processor does not sum sources, which sucks. Thinking of picking up a JL FIX 82 which will sum and strip factory EQ/TA and feed optical out to Alpine DSP Optical In. If I could save a few bucks on the JL piece and preferably pick up and a full range signal though that may work as well.

Welcome to CL.
The sound processor goes in between the head unit and the amplifier. You can't bypass the amplifier because it drives the speakers.
All the sound processor does is clean up the signals before it is sent to the amp for better quality. You would still need an amplifier as a driver, unless you also plan to replace the factory amp with an aftermarket one.

I am going to say 80% maybe then.
On wiring schematics it shows a pair of analog audio lines running from the headunit to the amplifier that you can use
If you know how to read wiring schematics your answer is below
Here you go
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PJI...ew?usp=sharing
***NOTE: Bypassing the amp on Navigation equipped vehicle is not possible due to audio traveling from the headunit to amplifier being a digital signal via MOST ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOST_Bus )
