Default Vented hood + rain/car wash?

I plan on getting Seibons carbon fiber vented hood, I live in the Northwest so it rains a lot, plus I like to keep the car clean. Should I be concerned about it? Or any suggestions to prevent water going in?

The best way to prevent this is forget the hood to begin with. Not only does it look bad, it could ruin your engine. Lose/lose.

As Jason Statham once said in a movie, "Whatever you're thinking... unthink it." lol

You can buy hood vent block off plates. I would assume by design the vents are placed in non hazardous areas for water to fall through.

I am old school. Remember the shaker hoods and giant air scoops on Dodge Super Bees and Plymouth Road Runners? I lived in MI with rain, snow, hail, sleet and never had a problem. What changed?

If you are going for the BT style seibon hood AND you have a cold air intake (injen, greddy, takeda, afe, etc.), you should be wary that the vents are directly over the intake. Shouldn't be a problem if you have the stock or f-sport intake, as it has the cover.
