Default Anything I should know before purchasing an is250?

Hello all! Just to make a long story short, I plan on purchasing an 15' is250 f sport in the coming weeks and want to know if there are any inherent issues that I should be aware of before buying it? For example, my friend purchased a 09' A4 a couple years back and he found out after a year that that year (09) and a couple years after that (maybe up to 12'?) A4's become notorious for having a burning oil issue that he had to deal with, it was a huge pain as one could imagine. With that being said, I really don't want to get stuck with anything like that. I heard that Lexus had issues with carbon buildup issues, is that still the case in the year 14'/15' models? Are there any other issues I should know about on the 15' or 14' year models? Thanks in advance for any help that you give, I really appreciate it!

I had a 2015 IS250 and had zero issues with mine. The only thing I hated was that it has so little power. If that didn't bug me so much I would have kept the car but yea everything else was perfect for me. Had it for almost 3 years with no issues.

The carbon issues were with the early 2IS models.

Its a Lexus so it will be trouble free. The battery drain issue was on the '14s and has also been resolved.

Nothing major, '14 had a few minor problems but it all got sorted out. We like our 350s here so whenever someone is asking about a 250 everyone mentions power. I have a 350 fsport and have driven a 250 base. Difference is with my 350 I'm feathering the throttle and it takes off real quick whereas with the 250 I'm at 100% throttle far too often. There's enough torque to get you off the line in the 250 but overtaking at speeds can be painful.

I also recently started to use only shell 91 and the car drives much better, I've filled up at a few other stations and can feel the loss in power.

Go for the IS350 and save yourself some future "if only" moments...
