Default Anyone paint their rear diffuser for repair or cosmetic?

I got a little road rash on the rear left side of the diffuser lip going up a steep driveway. I sanded down the rough spots and used a heat gun to remove some scratches on the side but now have a shiny area from heating up the plastic.

Has as anyone successfully had their rear diffuser painted? Is there a way to recreate the textured surface or would the whole diffuser have to be sanded down and repainted? At that point, it would probably just be more economical to have it replaced.

Any ideas are appreciated!

I think your options are to sand down the entire thing and use a trim renewal product to mimic the matte look (and the whole thing is just a smooth piece) or replace it.

I just had my rear diffuser and bumper replaced because I got rear ended. On the estimate the body shop noted that the diffuser was "not repairable" and it only had two extremely minor scratches. I would just replace it.
