Lexus IS300h Advance 2017 model. When I connect the ipod you can see the tunes and scroll through them but no sound comes through the speakers

this happened to my display
on the way home from work earlier this week, I lost all volume control. Nothing with Bluetooth, radio, or CD works. Navigation sill works but no audio feedback. Then my display got all static-y... car is at the dealer and they are trying to diagnose

 

What generation and model iPod is this?

Try selecting a playlist from the stereo off the iPod so see if it makes difference.
