When I got my 2017 a month ago it was just cash taken off the overall price as long as you were not financing (i.e. paying cash for the car)

Do i need to be a current Lexus owner to take advantage of this? I thought dealers would rather have u finance than purchase cash since they get a cut from the financing...

Actually they had it since the start of the 2016 IS300.

Nice. Show pics when you get it. The 2018 RWD models get a limited slip diff now right? I'd be interested in driving impressions, but I know you probably won't be redlining the thing off the lot.

Yes the RWD has the Torsen LSD. I've been driving AWD cars since 2004 so this will be a change for me. Last time i drove a RWD car was my friend's Lotus Exige on an autocross course. I spun it out twice on the same lap .

I will be driving it hard at various RPM's during break in period, but i wont be redlining it...

My current car is FWD turbo, and I'm really itching to move up to AWD (getting really tired of wheel spin, torque steer and wheel hop / bogging and inconsistent power delivery when I want to get going quick).

We only get AWD versions here in Canada (there used to be RWD 350s a few years back), and I'm not thrilled that it has the older 6 speed transmission. This, along with a few other reasons, is why I'm waiting for the next gen IS before I decide on getting one.
