No you wouldn’t need them. You can use the ones your 2017 already has. I believe only the ones with previous years need it.

If purely for performance, I would not swap to the triple beam LED. In terms of output, it's a downgrade with poor performance.

Low beams:

LED projector : 79/42m (right/left)
Triple Beam LED 66/33m

High beams:

LED projector: 155/154m
Triple Beam LED: 135/125m

Triple beam does look better appearance wise, but performs poorly.

The strongest car on the planet thus far is Prius V with its highly-regarded Koito Bi-LED unit. We can't get strong LED performance in our ISs because of its small form factor. You need (with current state of lighting tech) a large headlight like a Prius with room to disperse the heat LEDs generate. Can't do that in a performance sedan with sexy styling therefore smaller LED/heat management is used and therefore lower output.

I'm one of the strongest lighting "gurus" from over in the BMW world with tons of swaps/retros under my belt. This is my bread and butter.

Don't swap to triple LED if you want performance.

Will continue with project after that Hollidays. I have the front bumpers from and side vents. Still need grilles and headlights plus paint work.

Yeah it is mainly for looks I would say. Not need of much lightning here in California City area. If anything I will try and find a way to retrofit fog light like the GS-F style in the future for better lighting.

I tried puting my tail lights from my 2017 is350 f sport on a seibon trunk I ordered and they are not close to a direct fit. Housing is close but will need body work to fit flush. Just throwing it out that you may need the trunk for your conversion.

Thats probably a poor mold of the trunk. A earlier taillight will probably fit poorly as well on that trunk

The taillight shape is 1:1 the same between the original 14-16 and 17+ refresh.

I tried two trunks from seibon with no luck. The drilled holes are not in the same location either. I contacted seibon so they can stop listing a direct fit for the 2017.

Nothing changed for trunk shape. Lexus would not spend that type of money just to make new holes in a metal trunk mold if it can reuse it.
Your case may just be a poorly made mold of the trunk by seibon. bad current batch if others had good luck in past.

I received my rear diffuser from seibon and after looking and trying to fit it, i turned me away from seibon forever. I ended up selling it off due to how poor it was made in my opinion. The whole time I thought i was doing something wrong but during the drying process they allowed some mounting points to dry in a totally different angle (45 degree) and was no way I was able to install it like OEM would've.

Smile Triple Beam Headlights Where Can I purchase these for a IS 300 2017

Hi,

I have seen these square Triple Beam Headlights which would fit my 2017 IS300. Can anyone please help me out on where I can find them, also the contact information of a dealer that has them. I asked one other fellow, but all he said was Japan. Talk about being vague here. I asked him where in Japan. No answer.

If you were looking for a temporary fix. You can always Dip/Wrap the front bumper same style as the 2017 models
