I just wanted to update anyone following this thread. I am moving forward with the project. I finally got the lights in and I am waiting on some parts to arrive. I will keep y’all updated. I will need SpecOnes help with the light wiring and anyone else’s inputs are welcome. Thank you

Does anyone have an idea in what it would take for me to plug my Japan taillights to my car? The taillights have a one single 6pin harness. My car has two harness. One is a socket for turn signal bulb and the other is a black 3pin harness that powers the rest of the corne light.
I don’t think the harnesses for the 2017+ would help much since I would still need to splice the turn signals.

What do you think?

The harness you're holding for the 2017 lights replaces the one on your car that has the 2 connectors/bulb sockets on it. You need to take that off the car and use the one from the new lights in place of it. Your car will have the 6-pin connector, you just need to go further to get to it in the quarter panel.

Got it. I will fish for it tomorrow since it is raining today.
Thank you very much Jeff.

Hi Edwin- The harness you're holding I believe is 14-16 right? I'm posting pics of my 17 harness below. These are very close to identical to the 14-16 so yes I can confirm the 17 harness will not help you with your Japanese lights. There's really only one difference between the 14-16 and 17 harness and that's the 3pin black connecter. You'll notice the difference if you compare closely. You're best option is to splice your 14-16 harness. Good luck.

Thanks Tino. I have a feeling that I might need to splice the wires too. I am gonna trace the wires back like Jeff stated and see if I could actually find a 6 pin harness to disconnect the existing harness/socket and plugging in the ones from the light. I’ll look into it this weekend.

Thanks Amiricle55. Should look nice once all done. I am excited for it
