On another note, anybody know if Weathertech Cargo/Trunk Liner from 2017 models will fit my 2018 model? Weathertech doesn't have fitment for 2018 IS's yet on their website.
Just went on Cars.Com and did a search of 2018 IS 350 of 100 mile radius of Los Angeles and only 9 cars showed up, and the car i recently purchased is still on the site....
Are these IS 350's that rare or just the big shipment hasn't arrived yet?
Anybody know if the OEM batteries that come with the car are AGM or Standard batteries? Want to give the battery a good charge before it goes in for clear bra/tint in a few days.
On a tangent, there is a thread somewhere asking if IS350 F Sports will become classics. IDK, but a refreshed IS350 F Sport RWD sort of reminds me of the E46 ZCP sedans a little bit. And it's in a desirable color combo.
Here's my G-Meter this morning commuting thru the canyons in traffic. My goal is to get the lines off the scale! Did the prior year cars have this G-meter?
Having driven AWD cars for the past 10 years or so, if i ever get myself in trouble mid-turn, i just mash the gas and the car will fix itself.
Since this is RWD, i can't just mash the gas and pray the car will fix itself. So, wondering if its easy to initiate oversteer on these IS's. Or, if i turn off traction control, can i drift it?

Well my IS 300 F Sport definitely lacks a G-meter...
Random question - the redline in the '17 and prior-year cars is 6600 RPM. Does the '18 rev out to the new 6800 RPM redline?
Here's what my tach looks like during a cold start. I am playing with the various driving modes... I'm guessing this is the same as prior year F Sports?
"Sway Warning"?? Don't think I got that nor the G Meter thingie, and maybe a couple other things I saw...
... Car is getting dropped off at shop tonight for Xpel Ultimate clear bra and 3M Crystalline tint. I'm only getting the full front coverage which includes: lights, front bumper, front fenders, mirrors, full hood. Does the rocker panels take a lot of abuse? Should i get clear bra for the rocker panels?
I just thought "WTH" and PPFd everything except trunk/lid and top - see my pix. For the rocker panels make sure they stick it curbed around the edges. The rear bumper is also a good idea due to crappy parallel parkers.
Just got Xpel Ultimate Clear bra: Front bumper, full front fenders, full hood, headlights, mirrors, rear bumper, rocker panels. $2448 + tax at https://www.stickercity.com/
Car came from factory with clear bra on door jams, door cups, rear doors near tires.
3M Crystalline Tint: 20% rear windows, 40% front driver/passenger windows, 20% sunroof, 70% windshield for $785 at http://www.sunshieldglasstintingca.com/ which is right across the street from Sticker City.

think I know what you're saying... expand that search to a much higher radius, also include CPO, and previous years. Similarly speaking, even CPO 3rd Generation IS350 FSport with red interiors, or other custom colors, are hard to find, or rare, across all states -- it's almost like you have to purchase brand new, or custom order, or wait for someone to trade theirs in. So if you do have one maybe consider yourself lucky!?
... Or, if i turn off traction control, can i drift it?
EVERY TIME I turn off Traction Control, after a while, it just automatically kicks back in again. Many YouTube videos show the same. Is this the same for all IS350 FSport RWD?
