yup rocker panels are wrapped around the edges and a lot of the other parts as well. Xpel has good precut patterns

So if you do have one maybe consider yourself lucky!?
I was able to secure the car since the dealer located it before it was loaded onto the cargo ship from Japan with a $500 deposit. If my car was a rare color combo should I also consider myself lucky I got it slightly above invoice?

Canadians however can get RWD... just go online for car dealerships as well as private sellers in cities & towns near the USA border close to you... easy peazy.

That’s the easy part, the dealbreaker is the exchange rate, depending where you get the exchange rate, the deal increases between 11-15%.

Understood, the USD exchange rate for Canadians almost ALWAYS SUCKS for their entire lifetimes, but the goal here is to get a lighter, slicker, better performance RWD which is tough to do in Canada, correct, as opposed to a heavier, lumbering, and more maintenance prone AWD?

The US has such a huge market that EVEN IF the same RWD was sold in Canada it'd probably be more expensive, even after exchange rates, etc. You can also check out auctions, buy CPO, haggle, etc, in order to try and save more moola.

Another idea is to get a friend or relative to buy it in their name, then they give you THEIR pink slip, and for purposes of customs, knock another $7500 off the receipt they also give you, which saves you moola on Duties.

Starting and revving the motor to about 6000 RPM. Don't worry, motor was already warm

Guess everyone knows that on the 2018 IS350 FSport the casing for the brake wind tunnels are more pronounced (where fog lights could go), and also your exhaust pipes are squared off like GS models whereas older 3rd gen models are still round. Looks Good!!

What you are describing is also true on the 2017's, no?

I'm guessing the slightly higher redline has something to do with the whopping +5HP increase?

Yes, this is the 2GR-FKS.

My understanding of the difference is all in the valves. On the 2GR-FSE, both the intake and exhaust valves use VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence). On the FKS, they use VVT-iW (Variable Valve Timing Intelligent Wide) on the intake and VVT-i on the exhaust. VVT-iW is what allows the engine to run in the Atkinson Cycle under low load conditions.
