Default Performance upgrades? is 250 fsport

What are some performance upgrades around $500 each or less that would recommend on a 2015 IS250 fsport?
Must haves?

Get an IS350? lol. There isn't much that can be done for performance for either the IS350 or IS250.

under 500 realistically would mean an axleback (very minor power upg). or you can just start shedding weight (backseats, passenger seats, spare tire, car mats, carpet lining, etc). Wouldn't be very functional for DD though.

I read a while ago on a few threads that the OV tune doesn't really produce much of a result and that it was inconsistent for some people. :O

agreed. These are Lexus sport luxury vehicles that will take away from the brand with too much mods or tuning. If u want to upgrade, spend the $$

You will need alot more weight savings than that to get the IS250 up to any level. I say get rid of the doors, the hood and the trunk, fast and the furious 8 style.

Realize you didn’t buy a race car. Enjoy the sporty handling and Lexus quality. If you want power go buy a is350, is-F, something else that is smaller and has a big turbo, or a big *** V-8. But a 2.5 litter NA engine in a car of this size and weight is never going to be “fast”.

Exhaust can change the sound of the car. (Maybe, drop some weight. Still trying to figure that out)

Put some better brakes on it to let you brake later in the corners on a track. (Pads and rotors can be had for under 500)

Suspension if you want to be lower. The performance up grade of drop springs is arguable at best.

Tint your windows so you’re not as hot and don’t have to run the AC. That should free up some power.

500 dollars for a gym membership to drop weight of yourself (if that is an opportunity great. Less weight healthier person)

But the is250 isn’t a fast car and never will be. (I have an is250 and love it, so not trying to be a ****.)

Hi Retep, we would recommend going with an axle back exhaust like our #15227 system. It may not get you a ton of power, but you will have 100% more fun driving your car! If you keep your eyes peeled for sales/promotions, you can usually score a smoking deal from one of our authorized resellers here on the forum!

You can find more info about it on our site below. Please let us know if you have any questions we can answer!
