Aero Parts Fitment/Buying Guide
First thing most people look at after the purchase of their Lexus are some sort of aero parts like front lip and rear spoilers. And I've seen many many many posts and PMs sent around regarding fitment. the rule of thumb are very simple....
1) there are 2 brands of Aero parts that will fit 100% perfect: OEM Lexus and TRD (both made by Toyota with the same quality of your Lexus)... no if/and/or/but
2) EVERYTHING ELSE after market no matter how expensive will be off a bit since they are all hand made/molded with fiberglass or carbon fiber.
one needs to understand that hand made parts will never be 100% identical even if they came back to back off the same mold, it's just the way it is.
now yes, more expensive legitimate made in Japan after market aero parts will have better fitment than cheaper NOT made in Japan parts, and knock off made in china parts from ebay and/or amazon will have a "chance" of fitting worst. Now I'm say "chance" again due to the inconsistency of hand made parts. If you are lucky, you may end up with one that fits better/straighter.... even the exact same style from the same manufacture will fit differently at times. There may be bigger gaps, not as straight, left exhaust clearance not exactly the same as right side... bolt/clip holes do not line up etc etc... you buy at your own risk.
If you are buying carbon parts, stick to the more reputable manufactures/brands who will offer you a better chance of better fitment. Since you're buying exposed carbon, you can't do too much in altering to make it fit better without messing up the part's finish.
If you intend on painting the part, than you have a bit more flexibility when it comes to needing cutting, sanding, puttying, to make the part fit better.
For rear diffuser pieces, if you need to know for exhaust tips size clearance on certain rear diffusers... search the board and look for someone who has the same setup as what you are interested in... see if they needed extra work to get their setup to fit. BUT please understand that even if you buy the exact same setup (specially if the diffuser you of your interest is fiber layed) that yours "may" fit a bit differently than someone else's identical setup. It's just something you have to keep in mind when buying aftermarket.
hope this helps everyone a better idea when deciding on aero parts.

My Skipper japan FRP front lip and side skirts were spot on. Didn't even really need to test fit before I sent it to paint. I would say it was very closely to OEM fitment like TRD stuff
Seibon carbon fiber stuff from my experience is mehhh. Very hit or miss.

On the Seibon website, they have the carbon hood, trunk, door and rear spoiler, but not the front bumper or splitter for the SC430 that was used on the 2012 SC430 F1 Drift car by Apexi/Seibon. Anyone know if that front end was ever made into a kit. The closest seems to be the Artisan.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Yeah this is true I just wish OEM parts were better looking that’s why I had to go aftermarket. I hate going aftermarket but the spoiler for our car is ugly to me, ugly enough that I couldn’t bear to buy it and install it on my IS. NOW I say this as an opinion I know some people like it so don’t get upset please haha.
