There are a lot of factors though. Temperature, tire pressure, and road conditions come into play. For what it's worth, I try to keep the tires at least at the factory-recommended 36 PSI. In colder weather, I don't mind if they dip down to 35, but they're at least 36 PSI when the car is garaged. Now that the weather is warming up, my tires will be at 37 PSI when I leave the office. I probably could run a slightly lower pressure if I wanted, but I like the steering response and ride quality trade-off as is.

It also depends on how you drive. I've admittedly been driving more aggressively since I put the new tires on, since it's just more fun now. I think that explains why the rears are more worn than the fronts. Even so, it's a negligible difference.

The PS A/S 3+ have slightly more tread depth and a higher treadwear rating, so I would expect them to last longer overall, everything else being equal. Intuitively, anyway.
Yeah I keep it at the same pressures, we have the exact same train of thought haha (35 to 37 PSI). Yeah the AS3+ should last longer than the rate that mine are wearing, will see what ends up happening I guess. I do have the RCF bushings on order, they were backordered for 3 to 4 weeks when I placed the order.

Cool. I hope those help - but if nothing else, you'll get better steering feel.

I should mention, I have stock everything, except alignment. The dealer service recommended we give it some toe-in to help reduce the wear, and from early impressions, I think it's working.

Well, looks like my measurements are a moot point now... What great timing.

Thanks! I am looking forward to the upgrade.

What alignment specs did you go with? Oh shoot, BFGoodrich doesn't have a warranty right?

They have a 45,000 mile warranty.

I am getting my tire shown above replaced under the Costco road hazard warranty anyway. They are just charging me an installation fee.

I need to get the alignment specs, not sure how much they toe'd it in. I just know it was basically just enough to be meaningful.

Oh okay, glad you get a free replacement tire!

I was able to get the alignment sheet from the dealer, and it looks like we did in fact give it some more toe.

Anyone think it'd be a swell idea to create a sticky-worthy thread about this topic? We continually see new threads opened all the time around inner tire wear, and it's getting old.

Finally I went with the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. Nice look. No rim protection. For now I like them. Good in heavy rain

I agree, I think it'd be really helpful for everyone. After looking through the multitude of these threads, I feel the sticky should summarize or clarify these main points below since most ask about these consistently. I may have missed some things, but this should be a good start:
  • Main issue with inner tire wear
  • Possible solutions to address issue
    • OEM GS/RC-F Bushings
      • Part Numbers (specific to certain IS model years and whether RWD/AWD)
    • RR Racing Bushings
    • FIGS Bushings
    • Any others?
  • FAQs
    • Will an alignment help the problem?
    • After installing a firmer bushing, do I need to get an alignment?
    • Do I just need to replace the front bushings? Do I need to do anything to the rear?
    • Does this premature tire wear issue affect both RWD and AWD models? Are all 2IS and 3IS years affected?
    • What should be the approximate cost and time/effort to get this issue resolved?
    • What are the pros/cons with a softer vs. stiffer bushing?
