Which JL Audio subwoofer and amp to get with stock speakers?
Should I go with the 2 ohm or 4 ohm sub if I will be sticking with stock non-ML speakers? I don't want the bass to drown out the speakers. JL Audio 10w3v3-2 JL Audio 10w3v3-4
The 10w3v3 is a single voice coil sub, so if you don't plan to add another 10w3 to the car, you'd want to get the 2ohm version (10w3v3-2) for maximum efficiency. Regarding the amp, I would say it's up to personal preference. I had a jx500/1d in my previous car. It was a perfect match for my shallow mount 10tw3. My favorite part of that amp was the small footprint. Stayed cool, too. This is actually my first time seeing the RD500. I really like the design!
JL 10" W6 Sealed box.
W7 in my 2007 IS and now I have the 10" W6 in my 2014 IS. With the W7 I had a ported box and with the W6 I have a fiberglass sealed box. To be perfectly honest the W7 was just too much. The W6 is good and if you really want to rattle your car apart you can fold down the back seat. I put the bass **** on my amp and suggest doing the same. Below is photos of both the W7 and the W6 setup. I would suggest just spend the money up front and get the W6 dont even mess with the cheaper versions. As Lexus has spent a lot of time designing a sound proof car the W3 will be over worked getting good bass to the front cabin with the rear seats folded up. I currently have the JL RD 500/1 amp which is recommended by JL for the W6 10".

I'll look into the W6 and getting a sealed box. Hope it won't drown out my stock speakers.
What speakers are you running up front? Did you need to dynamat the trunk to reduce rattle w/ the w6? Where did you get that custom sealed box on the side?
Bigger is not always better when it comes to a car made for sporting dynamics. Best is no sub, but the best compromised is something compact and minimal while being effective.
I don't keep my seats down, just for illustration purposes. I wired it so i disconnect the speaker wire from the terminals and easily move it out of the way when i need trunk space. It does not move around, it's only held in place by gravity and friction. And yes with extremely hard cornering (i have sticky max summer tires)
