Default New IS350 F Sport (OEM + Mods)

So, I wasn’t really driving my hellcat (1000+ HP) much & I decided to get rid of it & put my girlfriend/baby mama into something nice. I wanted the RX350 F Sport because we have a 2 year old daughter & it has a bit more room, but she insisted on the IS (saves me money so whatever).

I’m looking to just do a few simple mods. Here’s my planned mod list, but if anybody has any other tips or suggestions, I’m open to them:

1) Weathertech mats (front, rear, trunk) with custom Nathan @ Rebadge “F Sport” decals that replace the “weathertech” decals.

2) 5% tint all around; 75% windshield (special tint that keeps out the same amount of heat as 20% tint roughly); 75% tint on sunroof.

3) Front Clear Bra; Remove stock clear rock guard appliques & rear bumper applique.

4) Ceramic Coating (Gyeon)

5) Spacers (What size would be best/flushest & works with RS-R Halfdown springs?)

6) RS-R Half Down Springs

7) Front camera that integrates into stock camera system. Activates once under 5mph, similar to how the rear camera activates when in reverse.

8) The only option it didn’t come with was intuitive park assist. I really would like the beep feature to avoid her hitting things. Any recommend parking sensors? I’m iffy on this, as drilling holes into a new bumper isn’t something I really am sure of.

I think that’s all for now. I might put a light tint on the rear tails & I might also get all black emblems for the car. Any other suggestions or recommendations regarding my mod list would be greatly appeciated. Thanks.

What special tint for the front wind shield are you referring to?

I’m not honestly sure, my buddy is a tiner & has been doing it for years. He posted something in Facebook about it & I’ve never used it yet. I typically put 50% on my front windshield to keep the heat out & still am able to see out of it at night easily. I’m not sure if it’s carbon base, ceramic based, etc. He just showed the performance with a btu solar meter on it & it works great. I’ll let you know once I know more about it. He has a 90% & 75% in it.

Only front camera add on I know of for our cars is from bestsonic. Looks like it can be programmed for speed sensitive too

First off, welcome aboard! As for spacers, you can find several conversations on this over in the suspension and brakes sub-forum. I run Half Downs myself and went with 20mm spacers front and back, and am very happy with it. Some run 25mm up front instead. Lots of the threads have pictures, so hopefully that will help you make the decision on which way you want to go.

Thanks for your replies. I did my own research & was also set on doing 20mm spacers. Question though, has anyone has any issues with the spacers? I'm concerned about safety mainly. Not many people are fond of spacers, at least not the people that I ask.

If you really want spacers, don't cheap out. Get high quality ones from reputable manufacturers and retailers. For your specific bolt pattern, none of that universal crap. Keep in mind that if it fails, there's not much keeping your wheel from flying. Make sure you torque down all the nuts properly, and use antiseize on the mating surface.

Also keep in mind that big spacers put more stress on your wheel bearings, and can cause premature wear.

Oh and a very big no no is to stack them. It scares the hell out of me when I see that on cars. I've seen my fair share of failures because of low quality spacers.

Yeah, I may just not do spacers. I got pricing on 19x9 & 19x10.5 Velgen VMB5s. I may go that route since the look the closest to OEM. I just have to figure out how I’ll get them hyperblack like the oem lexus rims. PVD coating is great, but gets tons of micro scratches. I might just do gloss black.

Ever think about a radar detector. I'd get a Escort Max360 or Uniden R3 with a blendmount and mirrortap. Its a great OEM look and keeps you safe from tickets

She doesn’t speed luckily. Honestly, I never had one in any of my cars (hellcat, gt500, etc.)...but I speed at times. lol. If I were to ever install one, it’d definitely be the Escort Max360.
