I think he's just saying you'll be able to pass everyone? Haha.

I wouldn't get the Q50. I didn't even want to test drive one back when I was shopping because the interior just didn't do it for me. I liked neither the dual-screen setup nor the look of the dashboard. I've heard the handling is also passable but not as good as the segment's best - which at the time, the IS was a part of.

I can see where Solara350 is coming from on the "looking down on Lexus" thought, but then again, people sometimes just don't know what they want.

thanks for the knowledge.

the thread title was about comparing altima to an IS (which you can't really do but they must have their reasons). The lexus does not have a CVT, the altima does

People that don't go to the dealer for service.

Yes, they are, but the CVTs Lexus uses are a planetary gear set, not a "traditional" CVT which uses a pulley. The Toyota/Lexus CVTs are massively more robust.

The new 2019 Altima is ready to start selling soon. Leaps ahead of any other Altima. All past Altimas were poor.

The new ones pretty nice looking. Check out the center console area padded in leather where we have basically a knife-edged cheap looking gray plastic piece jabbing our arms.

I hope the next IS interior resembles the UX interior. We will certainly get a similar steering wheel. And the new twin turbo V6 in the LS!
