Default Brake System Override Failure !!!

I turned on my car today and I got a check engine light and theres a message on my dashboard that reads Brake System Override Failure. Does anyone know what does that mean. My car also does not accelerate normally. Please help.

Scan it with techstream or go to your local dealer. Its hard to say for sure without fault codes.

Your car is likely in limp home mode which would explain the acceleration.

Where could the throttle position sensor be located? Where the gas pedal is?

I think is a bad sensor that needs replacing. I just need to find out where is the throttle position sensor.

The tps is part of your throttle body or in it. But I highly recommend you get some fault codes before doing anything or jumping to conclusions. Just because that message is the same on the dash, does not necessarily mean you have the same fault code.

My best guess is that’s the braking system needs to see the correct tps signal for vacuum for the booster or something....idk haven’t actually had a chance to look into how the automated side of the braking system work

The brake override system requires multiple signals to make it function.
In reality it's a software function of the Engine ECM...it looks at Accel Pedal position, brake pedal status, Engine RPM, Vehicle Speed, etc.
If anyone of those signals or systems go down, brake override will also be affected.

Without the trouble codes you are pretty much flying blind in terms of finding the faulty part.
And to the person that commented above, yes...the TPS is built into the Throttle body.

Problem solved, it turns out because I was changing my battery last week (I did it on my garage never drove the car) I must done something wrong and blew a fuse. The fuse #10 I blew was ETCS located on the box engine compartment driver side. I replaced it now I can drive normally.
