The guys over In Saudi Arabia have a tune which allows for the popcorn like backfires. It's on here somewhere.

Video in question:

Also I filmed my slowdown exhaust pops today. In case anyone wanted to hear what this sounded like with a straight pipe. Nowhere near as glorious as the video above.

Ha yeah, sounds about right. At the same slowing speeds, although yours sounds like a sharper bang whereas mine is more like a belchy puff.

So all you have between the heads and tailpipe are the tiny Invidia resonators? Interesting how similar the Invidia catback looks to the Tsudo, even the mufflers and tips.

Preeeety much, Invidia's midpipe is an X pipe and Apexi is an H pipe. Here's my exact exhaust setup:

PPE Headers
Apexi Midpipe Ebay

Sorry, mixed yours up with Homer's and the OP/title. Apexi is like the JoeZ in that it appears to have longer resonators, which SHOULD attenuate or shape the sound more than the tiny Invidia/Tsudo ones. Any particular preference for H, and/or find any difference? I looked into them and there didn't appear to be a whole lot; other factors seemed to be more consequential. V8s and big blocks seem more inclined to go H over X.

But that IS sufficiently loud for you, I trust? lol

I think people could debate why X is better than H or vice versa all day. I was told that the theory is an X pipe produces more sound, and an H pipe creates a deeper tone. So with that I went with the H pipe.

it is plenty loud for me. I love the low rumbles but WOT the sound is way too raspy.
