I'm looking to have some extended studs installed for my IS. Anyone done this before and recommend and certain brand or specific one? Just need them a few mm longer than stock for the fronts.

ARP is a widely used brand or try to find an OEM lexus stud that is only 5mm or so longer than the IS. Just be sure it's worth it for you for only a few mm. Usually a 3mm spacer is small enough (on most cars, not sure about IS) that extended studs aren't needed. Because once you go extended studs, depending on how long you go, you will likely have to use open ended lug nuts.
Then if you have 2 sets of wheels, oem and aftermarket, you'd need to make sure to have open ended lug nuts compatible for both sets of wheels.
Thanks guys! I just ordered the ARP 100-7715 they seem to be the best quality as far as aftermarket for extended studs. I need them for my aftermarket wheels and I do already have open ended lug nuts. And yes Ichiba looks really good as well but ARP claims the best tensile strength or whatnot.

Just a note about that ARP kit (ARP 100-7715)...it's for a 2001-2005 IS300.
It will surely fit the 3IS hub, however, without knowing how long the studs were on a 2001-2005 IS300, not sure how much longer they will be compared to a 3IS OEM stud.

Yeah I'm not 100% sure.. but I read somewhere the 3GS Oem studs are 40mm so I don't think 3is will be much different if not the same. And I believe these ARP are 65mm. Just hoping they aren't long enough to poke out even through my long open ended nuts, that would be just a little unsightly but no biggy

Fronts were easy, the rears were more tricky. I believe the shop I went to needed to trim it down a bit to make clearance.

oh right on. I actually am only planning on doing the fronts at the moment. Glad to hear they worked out for ya though!

HI there, glad you have those ARP installed! I'm planning to install them myself, do you know what the shop had trimmed? the hub or the bolt? : )
I could not, for the life of me, get the 7715s in the rear the easy way. And I'm trying to avoid removing the axle nut/pulling the hub. It's just so long that the angle is too much to pop it into the splined hole. Might try again another time after trimming it by a cm, but obviously that will limit the spacer I could install. That, and I'm not looking forward to angle-grinding 10 studs while trying to maintain the thread integrity at the tips.
Stock under-head length is 43mm or so, and the 7715 underhead length is 66mm. I'd have to trim a cm to even have a hope, that leaves room for a 15mm spacer or so for safest engagement?
On the plus side, the Lisle 22800 wheel stud installer tool made popping the old one back in easy peasy.
I couldn't take off the rear wheel hub either, I ended up exactly what you said, trimmed all ARP studs about 1cm and fix the thread using small grinder.
