cannot get boot lid open

Did you lock the trunk? There is a button inside the glove compartment that will lock access to the trunk, maybe you click it by mistake. If anything try unlocking the trunk with the key.

The valet mode is the switch inside the glove compartment i mention before, if that does not work and you have try to use the physical metal key also then i am not sure what is causing your trunk to not open.
Maybe your latch is broken..... Try to pop open your rear seats and pull on the emergency latch to open the trunk. hopefully you did not lock access to fold down the rear seats.

Hi guys
just to give an update the boot opened about 24 hrs after and everything is working perfect ,but it did happen again from what i observe it happens when the electronic key is not nearby and you try opening trunk it like it has some code which makes it in operatable even to the key for this period of 24 hrs how could i disarm this feature or prevent this from reoccuring,it can be a little annoying not being able to access the trunk.
