Default Non-F Sport pads fit F Sport?

I've read a ton of topics on aftermarket pads to reduce brake dust. I've got a '18 350 F Sport AWD and would like to swap to the Non-F Sport pads to help reduce the dust. Are they a direct replacement? Do they produce much less dust?

I had EBC red ceramics on order but cancelled it because 1) couldn't get firm confirmation that they would fit 2) read a lot of reviews that said there was still a substantial amount of dust (and more squealing).

Any help would be appreciated!

Any idea if they are much less dusty? I'm not concerned about the reduced bite or overall performance of switching to the OEM Non-F Sport pads, really just the reduction in brake dust!

I had the same issue on my 2GIS and it drove me nuts!

If you want minimal dust and decent bite I highly recommend Akebono Ceramics. Just an idea, that’s what I’ve been rocking on my G37S and the dust is minimal and the bite is still good. I can’t wait until my oem pads wear out because the amount of brake dust is INSANE

I just made the switch to Akebono pads and couldn't be happier. I don't have to worry about the brake dust anymore and they perform similar to F sport pads.

I would try out the Akebono pads but every vendor that I've gone to online shows they don't have an application for the '18 350 F Sport AWD. I don't know if something changed for the 18 model year? I don't really want to be the guinea pig and find out they don't fit.

Most of the vendors show that the 18’ models don’t fit much because they aren’t very updated but if it fits the 16’ or 17’ it will fit the 18’ F Sport.

I thought that, but most of them show that the 17's don't fit either, only 2016 and older. Also, I'm not sure if AWD makes a difference (usually the only option is "IS350" with no reference to RWD or AWD), but I seem to get different part numbers every time I search for them. Any idea what the pad part number is for a 350 F Sport AWD (front and rear)?

If they use the big calipers all the RWD F sports do, then yes. the blue back pads should fit. Check the brake link in my signature. You'll want the Genuine Lexus pads that are painted blue. It's low dust, however low friction. there's no free rides. you either prioritize safety or wheel cleanliness. you cannot have maximum levels of both.

They're so easy to replace and offer striking performance, I chose to keep the high friction/high dust pads.

OEM part numbers from 16 to 18 are the same. RWD and AWD does not make a difference as long as you have the 4 pot ASSIN calipers.

Thanks guys. Bit the bullet and went for the Akebono pads! Hopefully the part numbers are correct and they will fit my 2018 (bought ACT1118 for the front and ACT1391 for the rear).

Let us know if they fit and stuff (they should), those pads are going on my car as soon as the oem ones wear out.

Going to keep a close eye on this thread, brake dust builds up so fast.

Had Akebono pads installed today, and the part numbers I referenced above are correct (ACT1118 for the front and ACT1391 for the rear). I gave the wheels a good cleaning with Sonax Wheel Cleaner to get every bit of brake dust off so I have a fair comparison. I only have 700 miles on my car and it was INSANE how much dust had already built up! I had to do two rounds with the disgusting smelling wheel cleaner/decontamination spray, and then a thorough wash. They look new now!

So on to the pads...I didn't find even the slightest bit of stopping power loss, and even the initial bite seems just as good (just not as sudden if that makes sense - but that is actually a good thing since they feel more progressive especially when I'm sitting in stop and go traffic). Also, no squealing or squeaking whatsoever. Again, everything is perfectly clean now so I will have a good sense of comparison of the dust in a few days/weeks time. I'll check back and update on the performance and dust soon. SO FAR SO GOOD!! Thanks all for the recommendations!
