Default 2014 Lexus IS 350 Fsport VS 2018 Honda Accord 2.0T

My friend recently got a 2018 Honda Accord Touring 2.0T and he say he will smoke my Lexus IS 350. So we decide to go to the drag strip once he break in his car and do a best out of 3 run. Below are my current mods, what do you guys think of my chance?

Lexus:
Rracing tune
Rracing carbon fiber intake
Aem dryflow air filter drop in
Tsudo axle back
Enkei Raijin wheels- 7lb lighter per wheel compare to stock.

Accord: STOCk!

you should be able to get him since it's from a launch. but from a roll, i have a feeling he might pull ahead. if he has hondata tune, it would easily beat you.

please take a video and post it when you do! of course only if its at the drag strip. Be safe!

Definitely will have a friend stand on the side to record the race. Yes, it will be at the drag strip. The race will be from a launch. He’s claiming to smoke me without a tune. Bone Stock!.

Is the Accord an automatic?

The best test results I've seen on the auto Accord is 5.5 seconds to 60, 14.1 on the quarter mile (Car and Driver). Motor Trend got 5.7 and 14.3.

Car and Driver got 6.1 and 14.7 on the manual Accord, with Motor Trend at 6.2 and 14.8.

Assuming your IS is RWD.

Car and Driver got 5.6 seconds to 60 and 14.0 on the quarter for a 2014 IS350 RWD F Sport. Motor Trend got 5.5 and 14.0. If you are AWD, Motor Trend achieved 5.3 seconds and 13.9 on a 2014 IS350 AWD (non F Sport, but it doesn't really matter).

In either case, I don't think anyone will be smoking anyone...

He could. I don't know. The new accords pull really strong. They dyno high too. Please do the video from a camera attached to the car. Videos from someone standing on the side suck. Do you have a go pro you can attach to the window? or somehow mount your phone to the window

His accord is automatic. Mine is a RWD. so it will be a driver race. I know if he get a tune then it’s over 😁.

I'd still take an IS350 over a tuned Accord. The IS is such a well balanced car and so much more fun. An Accord is still a nose heavy FWD car, and frankly, at least in my opinion, the new Accord is not such a looker...(I'm trying to be polite). The IS is the beauty in this pair.

You'll beat him and it shouldn't be that close with the RR tune. Stock, they are pretty even. If you have the tune, i'm assuming you have a baseline dyno vs. the current setup. Do you have the numbers?

Totally agreed. The is350 is definitely a better looking car. Hopefully Lexus will upgrade the engine in the 4th gen IS.

I'm sure this is just for fun and game but there's always gonna be a faster car. Just remember why you bought it!
