Default New Rims?

Ok so I am on the fence as to keep the stock rims (F Sport 18's) 19's or 20's Ive been told that 20's really reduce the ride quality and that 19's are hella hard to find tires for and they are usually $$. Can anyone say if they had noticeable ride quality changes? I am out in central MD so we do have a few pot holes.

Appreciate any/all input!

I would go with the 19's. I'm not about tires being hard to find...they seem readily available for a wide range of 19 inch rims.
With the 20s it's not so much the quality that suffers, but to keep a relative ratio to the 18 inch wheels, you start to lose a lot of sidewall with 20s.
Sidewall equates to comfort...less sidewall, less comfort.

If you get some spacers, the stock 18s look really good.

Stock tire and suspension. Same ride quality with better performance due to lighter wheel. (7lb per wheel)
Front: 18x8.5
Rear:18x9.5

What's your offset on that setup? Looks perfect from these photos and those are the sizes I'm considering.

19" tires are really common these days.
However sidewall not only equates to comfort; but also overall traction. The same tire will handle better as an 18" with more sidewall than a 19" will. How much better?...idk. I've only read one article which claimed a "big difference" but it makes sense.

If you go 19, just make sure you keep the weight in check so you don't see a performance penalty. If you can increase your contact patch and stay as light or lighter than stock 18s, then you're golden! But you might suffer ride quality a tad. But that's the price to pay.

I think it’s 38mm in front and 35 mm in the rear.

Looks. Performance. Ride Quality.

19s that are lighter than the 18s may excel in performance and looks. ($$$)

Any 'ol 19s may improve overall looks, but may also be heavier than 18s including the OEM wheels. ($$)

18s that are lighter than the OEM 18s may likely excel in performance and looks over OEM.

18s that are heavier than OEM may improve looks, but reduce performance.

Personally I think the OEM F Sport wheels look great, so I would upgrade to 19s or get a lighter wheel if performance is most important. Rim style taste can be in the eye of the beholder unless you get something timeless.

Are you stock height?
Been contemplating spacers, but unsure how they would look at stock.
