Subwoofer Amp combo that is not too obnoxious?
I used to have a pair of Kenwood 12" subwoofers in my older car with a 800 watt amp, made the trunk rattle and flexed the plastic parts in the car. I don't want the same thing happening here so I am wondering what set ups people go with here? I was thinking about going to my local Best Buy and having it done. I was thinking a small 8-12" subwoofer with an amp. I feel like the bass is lacking in the non- ML sound system IS 250 (2015)
(Also trying to avoid trunk rattle)

lthe trunk seems like it was constructed well, so minimal rattling. dynamat is always an option.
as for being obnoxious, that’s subjective. i’m running a JL500/1 & JL10w3v3. i adjust the bass with the remote **** almost constantly.. depending on how i’m feeling.
other notes, the trunk is small, specone made his own custom fiber glass stealth enclosure. others have ordered premade ones. i just have a box eating up a quarter of my trunk.. worth it, i guess?
and you’re right about the factory stereo. i don’t have the ML system and it’s garbage for a lexus. my previous 2011 v6 accord sounded better.. was also better on gas.. anyways.. going off topic rofl.

Let me know your thoughts. The subwoofer is set up to be faced down. I also spoke to the Best Buy rep, he said that newer cars rattle much less than older ones as well.

That would work. I just dont like how the speakers exposed. asking for tears if you ever jam stuff in your trunk. The JL one i have has a grill on the outside.
