Default Smart Key Replacement

I have been lucky enough to pay for two smart key replacements in the last two years, so I wanted to share some info. My roommate lost a set, which I replaced about a year ago, and I recently lost another set. The first set was replaced at the dealer for around $450 (key, blade, and programming)....ouch! When I lost my set a couple weeks ago, I knew I wanted to find a cheaper alternative so I looked on Ebay. I found an "unlocked" used OEM remote with an uncut blade for $80 ($65 after eBay's 20% off sale). All the reviews were positive and the seller had a 30 day return policy, so I decided to take a shot at it. I received the Smart Key in three days and it looked identical outside and in. After a lot of calls and messages, I finally found a locksmith that would program and cut the key for $140. It took the locksmith 20 mins and I was on my way. All in was $205 and the remote has been working flawlessly!
Left is the unlocked version
