This thread is referring to upgrading the entire OEM head unit/scree/control joystick to a 2017+ unit. You would still need the part of the 2017+ W/Nav harness with the mystery connector since you currently have the 7" screen, along with the 2017+ W/Nav joystick, screen, and navigation head unit.
Do I have to replace the whole center console to adapt the joystick model or can that swap in place of the turn style **** I have now. And also does the 10.25 unit not have a screen built in? As you said above I would need to get the screen and Navi head unit. But I thought it was all one piece. Sorry if I’m crazy lol thnx for responding 👌🏻

This is the one that is a one piece screen ad on...https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...x4shop-ca.html

This thread is referencing replacing the entire OEM Radio/headunit, Screen, joystick controller, section of the wiring harness, ect with the OEM 2017+ W/Nav unit.

Could you clerify something for me? The interface is a seperate upgrade from the screen (7" to 10.25") correct? Trying to understand this so i can swap what I need to make it work. I can use my stock 17' IS ****, the turn style one like the other thread. Do I need to buy and source a 10.25" screen? Or is that included with the android 6.0 unit?

The aftermarket 10.25" screen from 4X4 or aliexpress, listed in the above thread is a all inclusive unit. It's the replacement screen with the android unit built in to it. So all that is changes is the screen and their is a piggy back harness that connects to the factory radio. You can swap between the OEM and android interface at will. The OEM infotainment just displayed on the bigger screen, or you could to the android interface that also adds apple carplay/android auto. Here is a more detailed video from a guy with a RCF.

Absolutely reviving this. Did anyone ever find a solution for the LVDS/GVIF cable that didn't involve finding a factory dash harness? I just need a direct connection between the radio and the display, I won't have an aftermarket android box, unless it doesn't matter that I used the Y cable that comes with those units and didn't use one of the ends.
